Let's see your controller boards/cabinets!!

Fortunate to have a closet directly behind the tank. Used pass throughs to get all the cables to the closet. Mounted plywood and cord cable raceways. I've found this to be a forgiving and flexible cord management system as I've added components or made adjustments along the way.

what type of screws did you use to secure the batteries to the back of the tank? I know they're quite heavy and I like how you have them on the bottom.
They are actually setting on the bottom shelf. I drilled two large holes for the wires to fit through and then set the batteries on top of the holes.

Still a work in progress. Just have a Red Sea Max Nano for now, but will want a bigger tank eventually. Figured it was a good time to get started on automating now since I'll need it later for a larger tank. I was hoping to use a simple cabinet, something like from Ikea. Since I'm in Alaska and it's slim pickings over here, I ended up using a bathroom vanity from Lowes, and installed a butcher block top. Happy with the cabinet overall. Still need one more DOS unit since I'm going to be using one for auto water changes, and the other two for dosing. Will start on getting the DOS units done in the next couple of weeks.

Looks great!

Here’s another idea for mounting power bricks. 1”X1” aluminum angle, 1/2” #4 pan head screws , & Velcro strap. I initially mounted two sides but one is plenty strong.

I used the Ikea Besta storage cabinet. Fully customization using their in store computer software - Besta Planner. You can design your own cabinet from color, type of front door, windowed clear, windowed frosted, single or double stand, lights, type of shelving etc.

The backing of the cabinet is thin chipboard that I replaced with shelving board for added equipment mount support. I think the cabinet is larger than most will want but I like it for the added storage.

I used brushed stainless grommets to match the component body color. Left extra space on the left side for future additions.

any chance you have a picture or explain more how you replaced the thin board in back?

Looks awesome!! I've been waiting for the Besta (It's been out for weeks!) cabinet to come back in stock. A friend of mine used that cabinet as well and it looks fantastic!!

I built this a couple of weeks ago. I did modify it this weekend with hidden hinges for ease of access. I also added another power bar and some more modules but don't have any pics of that. It also has grommets rather than raw holes.

Thanks! I actually got them from Home Depot during Christmas. I'll be back to the office on Wednesday. I'll see if I can get you a brand name.
