Let's see your controller boards/cabinets!!

Just finished installing a 3D printed shelf for the Trident making more room. Board will be redone soon.

I turned my office closet (which is conveniently behind the tank) into a mechanical room. I add a component at a time and mounting equipment more permanently after an evaluation period of a few weeks.

Lucky of you to have that closet right behind. Looks great except for 1 thing. I would highly encourage the pumps to go below any electronics.

I've struggled with that.

Neptune recommends their DOS be higher than the water level of the tanks in case of a malfunction.

When I started I just had pieces of plywood and they were mounted much lower (you can spot the one immediately under the black controller board). I didn't have the DOSes then. The one board I have now isn't enough room as arranged and that is due to a couple of things I need to address. Additionally, I could only get my hands on one of these controller boards at the time due to stock at the time. So I had to choose what to mount based on how things are laid out now.

I plan on pulling out that closet shelf and relocating all controller boards to that wall with the RODI and KW reactor. One board would be for the DOSes, the other dosing machines, and auto-testers and the other would be for the electronics. I also plan on putting a sink and cabinet to sit over the ATO/WC reservoirs and remove that wire rack. The problem relocating the electronics to higher ground is cable reach. I didn't plan correctly the first time and I don't want to cut any more ports until that back wall is built-out.

Just finished building mine and droppef it off at the painters today. I couldn't find anything that I liked to purchase and modify so I designed my own. I tried to leave extra room for stuff that I don't yet have like a set of 4 Ecotech Versa dosers for dosing 2 part and my auto water change.

I put both front and side doors on it so that I could easily access the wiring, and I also plan to put my dosing containers in the back.

Here are some pictures of the design and of the unpainted cabinet.

I will post pictures in a few weeks after it's painted and stuff is mounted.

I couldn't edit the original post, but here are the finished pictures.

Check out my build thread for a more detailed description of the construction.

Still working on it but here’s what I finished today. Came out pretty clean. Wish the alkatronic fit in there, not sure how I feel about it being right in front of the 2 WiFi strips
