ooooooooooo. Yyooooo that banshee sump is friggn insane. Love that black and red.!

This is nice. What size tank is this sump supporting? Wondering what the operational water level is in the frag rack section and how much water drains into the sump when you turn your pump off
Thanks. The sump is underneath my 140. The tank is on the comeback from my neglect, so nothing special to look at there. The new sump is my first step of turning it around.

This is what it used to look like. I lost all of my SPS when I got busy at work and didn't keep an eye on my parameters like I should have.

The normal water level in the frag section is almost to the top, like in a normal tank. There is an overflow in that section, so when the power goes off, the water level only drops to the top of the (Glass Holes basic) overflow. Here is a picture of when I was installing the sump. You can see a little better what I am talking about. The frag tank is fed off of a manifold. The racks are removable and are meant to provide different levels for acclimating for new corals.

The sump has been in operation now for about 5 months. Maintenance is much easier now, as you can see, everything that needs attention is located at the front of the sump and has quick access. The reactors are connected by quick disconnects, so they can be removed in seconds. Skimmer cup is very easy to take off and the socks are simple to get to as well.

That looks like a file from your PC. Need to upload the picture to an outside hosting site; Photobucket or Flickr.

Here's my setup. 60 gallon tank setup as a huge refugium (which I remodeled since this pic was taken to a more efficient setup), which then flows into my 30-ish gal sump which only houses the skimmer and my return pump. Have a small 10 gallon tank for fresh top off water. Using 2 TLF 150 reactors for GFO and Carbon, and one 550 for purigen (experiment, not sure if it really does much). Also have my new Avast Marine kalk reactor plumbed in with my auto top off.

Wow, really? You ditched the stuff in the garage? Man I'm way behind on the forums. Was this a custom?

This is my new LifeReef Berlin sump. Custom sized at 50x22x20h.
Still working on setting it up but here is a pic of the naked sump when i pulled it out of the box.
No covers, bulkheads, filter canisters, etc on it yet.

And yes, that sump is custom. Larger than his normal builds.
