Hey guys I'm curious to what everyone is using for their reefs, ie. Equipment/ lights/ sump no sump/ protein skimmer, dosing, etc. I just wanna know what people are doing different then me and what's working really well for some.
A list of mine...
Custom (built by me) 45 gallon rimless.
2 koralia pumps nano 425
2 Aqua clear 20
1 Aqua clear 50
Media Using in order Aqua clear sponge
Filter floss
Chemi pure blue
NO SUMP reason being is HOB filters have worked so far why change it up now?
Lights are Mars Aqua 165w LED, from eBay and they are amazing!!! Light cycles are 10 hours actinic 6 1/2 full spectrum.
Protein skimmer is a JNS HOB just added to the tank.
I does Aqua vitro line of products only when I need to 2 x a week fuel, mag and cal when levels drop. Which is not often.
I also use live phyto 2 x a week and feed reef roids to the corals every Wednesday and live food every Saturday before my water changes on Sunday's.
For salt I'm using Red Sea coral pro salt. With ro/di.
Here's a couple of shots of the tank. It's only 6 months old still a baby tank but it's running amazing.
Just a couple progression photos I will post more is everything grows out!
Thanks for looking guys, happy reefing [emoji4]
