Hey everyone. I wanted to see some pictures of your True Personifier angels. They are such an awesome fish I thought we could share experiences.

Here is mine. Sorry for the crappy cell pics. Maybe I will break out the good camera this weekend and get some better pics.

I have had it for 4+ years and I got it as a 1 1/4" juvenile. It is now ~8". Been fun to watch it grow.

Just noticed it posted the same picture twice. Can't edit from my phone. I will add one more pic.

Would love to see others as well. What has your experience been with these fish? Are you keeping if in a fowler or a reef? Size when acquired? How long you've had it?

One more cell shot of mine.

Boss of the tank for sure, but not belligerent at all. Honestly has been a model citizen in my tank.

Thanks for the compliment.

I am an avid angel fan and have yet to see a true personifer. In person. Would be thrilled to find a little one to grow out like you have there.

Long story on this one. It has been fun to watch him grow though, and is a very graceful, beautiful fish.

Finally got a couple decent pics of my angel. Thought I would share.

If anyone else has one of these gorgeous angels, please share some pics and your experiences with it.

Said it before but that angel is,so so cool. The color contrast between body and tail is,what stands out. Nice get!

Thank you once again. It has been quite an adventure to watch it grow from the < 1.5" juvi it was when I got it.

Can you tell if it is a male or female?

That's a beautiful fish

If a genetic cousin to false personifer I would lean male. I believe the males have more elongated bodies while females are more equal height to length not including the tail.

That being said I am not confident enough to wager much on that assessment. Male or female that is a rare and show fish that any large display angel enthusiast would welcome.

Thanks for info. I was leaning towards it being female, but the elongated body had me wondering. Also, the stripe in the tail seems to be getting thicker. Just not a whole lot of information out there.

That's a beautiful fish

Thank you.

I purchased this fish as a juvenile scribbled angelfish over 4 years ago. It came in at approximately 1.25". As it grew it became quite obvious that it was not a scribbled. It has been a model citizen in my tank for the last 4 years. I think I made out well on this one.

The cool thing is so long as there are no display issues he/she could still be swimming around in 2030.

I was able to see that fish about a month ago. Quite the road trip for me, and worth it. That fish is beautiful.

That tank is one of those tanks that's just a pleasure to stand in front of and watch. Biggest Gold Rim I've seen also...and that Jedi Mind Trick in his first post is hard to take your eyes off.

Mature tank, nice fat and happy fish, harmonious. Well done bud.

Dug up a couple of pics from when I first got this fish. Shows just how much it has matured. These are from ~4 years ago.

In this first pic, that is a 3"PVC elbow for scale. This was while the fish was still in QT.

This is shortly after he was introduced to the display. Algae clip gives some scale again.

Thanks Jim. It was great having you over that day. We will have to do it again sometime soon.

Awesome story. I love scribbled angels, too!

Wow amazing story ! True personifer with scrible angel price tag ! So cute juvenile and so beautiful adult !

Thank you very much. I have really enjoyed watching it "grow up." I feel like I kind of won the lottery with this fish.

Beautiful fish but it looks like your tank might be even nicer:D
