I'll just tell you what my project for next month will be, and you can take any ideas you may like.

1/2" acrylic tank, 36" x 16" x 10" with overflow for sump. Full acrylic rack, sized for normal plugs for a super clean look. I am also going to attempt my own acrylic frag plugs by using a hole saw bit on 1/4" acrylic for the plug part, and cutting up acrylic rods for the base part. Vortech and some sort of T-5 unit.

Not a fan of the acrylic frag racks/rods. I love Jim to death, but I hate acrylic rods!

I didn't mean the rods for your fragging, I just meant that style of rack. For plugs I'm going to be using these:

Good luck man take it slow and don't rush it like I did. Started with a 15 breeder in August, two weeks later went with a 25x25x12 rimless.
Last night bought a 48x18x12 and was given a 36x12x12 baffled sump.
Yet again an over haul to the temporary fish room!!

haha..

Picked up a 48x15x15.... Truvu... matches the 48x15x15 glass sump! Ahhhhhhh yes...

LEDs are on order also..

Thanks Robert(Neptunes)!!!!

I'm so excited... gotta do some baffles, plumbing, build a stand and wait for my XR-E Q5s and it starts!

So....... After the club meeting, and several brews... I decided to hand buff the tank at 3am.....

Did a 600 grit wet sand by hand so now the tank is all hazy... ready for some 1k/2k grit next.

I went to a auto store and picked up a sanding block and some paper.... Should be a fun workout today! I will snap some pics/video for the future build.

Also played with the skimmer last night, this thing can PULL with the mag 5 on it... dumped a bunch of flake food into the sump and watched it disappear!

Not sure yet... I'm thinking mild angle, no cabinets.... Tig welded.

Build a little light mover while I'm at it.

So obviously you have the skills and know how to do it yourself, sweet!

Now if I was going to ask around for a quote on steel stand for a 48x18x12 stand, powder coated with a shelf for a sump and maybe a light rack, what could I expect to pay. Just you opinion/guess?
