Hey guys i have two kessel a150w ocean blues on my 65 gallon tank. My tank is 48 inches long and 25 inches tall the corals set at about 12 inches down. I have some acans some hammer corals, and some other soft corals. where should I be placing these corals with this kind of light? I'm curious to know especially on the LPS corals because I don't want to give them too much light or not enough.

The negative effects of too much light are always much worse than to little. I would start the lps at the bottom especially with leds, observe them and then move them up if needed. For the soft corals I've found they do well in almost all lighting, I've never had too much light on mine.

okay thank you very much I've had them in the tank for a few months now and they seem to be growing well but I don't know if they are truly showing off their greatest colors they might be getting too much light I'm not sure. will too much light stunt growth? I know it can bleach but its kinda hard to tell with these corals

I think it all depends on the specific coral as far as coloring is concerned. For instance I have dragon soul favia. When it gets too much light the colors change and there's less variation just purple and green/yellow. When I stick it under a ledge the colors blend, are vibrant, and it gets a yellowish rim.
As long as their not bleached I would assume that they're fine. When I'm worried about coloring I'm mostly concerned about my parameters and then lighting. Have any pictures?
