I was dosing this stuff for about 4 months, during that time I noticed minimal LPS growth and even SPS. Some would encrust, some wouldn't. Also during that time, I started to get a "mysterious" bacterial growth (there's two threads going on it). Since the bacterial growth, I stopped dosing. Now, all my corals are full and always extended, but of course now, I am getting algae growth, which there was zero before. This brings me to my question, it says to dose daily. Can I dose a few times a week and still have results?

Maybe you were driving nutrients too low by dosing too much.

If the bacteria are a problem, you could switch to a different organic material, or try other methods. There are many ways to reduce nutrients.

Any you can recommend besides vinegar?

I use vinegar dosing, macroalgae, live rock filled refugia, and skimming to control nitrate in my system, plus GFO for phosphate and GAC for organics.
