I've been thinking about upgrading my sea clone skimmer on my 125g. I would want to spend around the 300$ range . I was thinking the bubble magnus curve 7 . What do you suggest and why?

Can't go wrong on the BM7.
You might find one even cheaper in the for sale thead.
I see them often for sale.
Myself run a lifereef skimmer, cost you twice as much but it's the only skimmer you buy on that tank.

I have a AquaMaxx EM300:
Pros,
Small foot print
Good contact time in chamber.
Great pump
Silent running
Large cup
Good pricing

Cons:
Neck slot is tight but if over tighten could crack.
Availability is hit and miss due to large demand.

Cant go wrong with tunze........Roger is probably one of the best people i have ever delt with in the business.....

I just purchased a curve 7 for my 50 and it is a great skimmer. Although a little over kill for my system, it started pulling some nasty thick skimmate with in a couple of hours. The skimmer is silent and and a great deal IMO. You just need to make sure that you follow the water level guidelines
