I forget, who makes sea clone? ;) My vote is not for them....

So are we voting on best overall or best skimmers for the price???

I love my ATB 840. Have had it two years almost and its still running and skimming great. Very quiet and only uses 23 watts on my 150 gallon system. I voted for ATB, Bubble king, and Reeflo if you like external.

Cs1
That is who makes it

I own one and am unimpressed

Atb and I tech are the two best skimmers I've owned.

Thats just not true. Seaside aquatics is the company, the cs1 was the smaller of the two models that first came out. They have several models now and they are great entry to mid level skimmers. ATB is great and so is Victor backing them up... He is also one of them backing seaside aquatics.

The whole line is pretty good for the money.

The JNS line is one of my favorites as well for the money.

granted if we could all pick and money wanst a issue the build of the bk line and atb is really nice.

I have owned 90%+ of the skimmers listed above. its really hard to judge IMO. As some are better for different applications than others. But still a nice poll to get an idea.

but it would be like a poll who makes the best car... Chevy, Ford, Honda, ect.....

Love my deltec tc2060 - but trying to get a spare pump for it is taking forever. Ordered the pump in nov 2011... Still waiting .....

For the money Reef Octopus is hard to beat. However from a craftsmanship standpoint they don't compare to the likes of BK/Deltec/ATB ect. BKs are probably the best overall skimmer I have had experience with in terms of quality and performance. Then again Octopus cost a fraction of what these others do.

for me #1 so far is bubble king
#2 ATI bubble master
Now waiting for ATI Power Cone...

Keep voting!

I know i'm a little late and I already voted, but..

  • Turboflotor is an Aqua Medic skimmer.
  • Euro-Reef is doing business as Reef Dynamics these days.
  • Hurricone is a Reef Octopus skimmer.

Here is the deal sadly I can't afford one thats nearly $200 at the moment so I have to find something reasonable and good in the mean time until I can upgrade.

Reef Dynamics skimmers are nice. Didnt see them on the list, but I believe they were formerly euro reef.

What is your tank size? Used skimmers or water changes are really your only option for that budget, unless the tank is under thirty gallons or so.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
