Will my lps corals be fine if i let my alk drop slowly for a new salt mix. Im currently using red sea coral pro, and want to switch to a lower alk salt thinking about hw marine or red sea blue bucket. The hw marine alk is 9dkh roughly and blue bucket is 8.5 dkh. My alk is currently 10.3 and my weekly consumption is currently really low like .4 dhk. Has anyone used red sea coral pro but running a lower alk?

You can either let it drop or do small water changes over time and bring it down that way as well. Either way your tank will be fine as long as you aren't raising or lowering it more than 1 dkh daily. I use HW Marine reefer mix and the Alk is around 8.7 dkh
