Does anyone know where to find levamisole hydrochloride? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've tried locally no one seems to have it and I can't find anyone online. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Thanks. You know I google searched it to but looked over the shopping results for it. I found a place to order it from and its pure 100% levamisole hydrochloride. These flat worms won't even know what hit em.

Farm supply stores carry it, the Tractor Supply by me has it.

Be careful with this stuff, it's very strong and can kill corals extremely fast if used incorrectly. I do not use it anymore preffering TMPCC/Revive and Interceptor as "normal" dips.

coral rx does
Yep!

I use TMPCC and/or Revive. IMO/IME Revive = Coral Rx for cheaper...

Interceptor is only good for Tegastes acroporanus (Red Bugs) regarding SPS. Some people belive it kills certain "bugs" on LPS too, but no real reaearch has been done, it's all anecdotal.

So levamisole as a pig dewormer is not made anymore. I'm trying to get 100% levamisole hydrochloride for a chemical company but because its a hazardous material they may not send it to me. I have to be cleared for it. If for some reason I don't clear does anyone on here have any levamisole hydrochloride to sell to me?

I got mine at the local Co op when I treated. I had a horrible survival rate with it. I wouldn't try a whole tank treatment. I set up a separate tank and removed all acros and tissue for the treatment and couldn't begin to imagine the effects on a display. Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure has done the trick for me. If they are already in your display, there is no easy way to get rid of them, unfortunately.

Good question. I just sent an inquiry to tropic marin, so hopefully, I'l get a response soon. I've got a coupld of bottles I've been working on for a while, so hopefully, they are still effective at pest and bacterial removal. I haven't been killing corals with it, so I'm thinking that ineffectiveness would be the main result of being out of date (?).

Cool, please let me know what they say. I assume the potency would just diminish but would like some clarification!

Lou from Tropic Marin in the US replied that it has about a 3 year shelf life (given proper storage, etc.). I'll reply back with a question on effects on the treatment specimens as it ages. Id' assume it'll only lose potency, too, but it can't hurt to ask.
