Hey, just set up my 20g max nano from Red Sea. My tank is leaning forward slightly. The tank came with a levelling mat, Will the levelling mat level the tank over time? Should I be concerned, it doesn’t seem to be off by much.

Adjust the feet. Or put some shims under the feet. The mat won't level the tank. It just cancels out any small lumps or dips in the top surface of the stand so that there are no pressure points on the bottom pane of the tank.

Hey, if I keep it at this level is this ok?
I don’t think the feet adjust on this cabinet.

I would let the tank sit for a day or two to let it settle before making any adjustments.

I know this sounds stupid but it’s off literally by the thickness of a Costa Rican coin. What if I gorilla tape the coin to the floor and place the feet on that. I just measured I believe it’s only 1/16 of an inch. I’ll measure again in the morning.

If using the coins as shims gets the tank level, that will work.

I would have to say NO it's not ok. That's a small tank and getting it closer to level should a top priority. If you already filled it just drain it into a CLEAN storage container. Take time to do things right. Leveling the tank is part of doing it right.

While I have never touched a Red Sea Nano 20G system, all the other tanks come with leveling feet. So I'm guessing that one has them too. Did you buy this system used, new? Did you assemble it or did it come preassembled? Regardless the feet should just unscrew and you are done. There might be a jamnut that has them locked so you might need a small wrench to loosen the jamnut.

The bubble needs to be equidistant from both lines. The bubble in the photo appears to be far from equidistant to both lines. You need to shim the stand. Tapered wood or composite shims are available at most hardware stores. You can also use non compressible cardboard, or playing cards.

Hey, so I levelled the tank best I could. I used flat pieces of steel and to make it more level I used different thickness of coins. I sat on the cabinet shook around and it is sturdy.

No need to worry about level. Looks close enough to me.
What I get all worked up about is the water at the top of the tank being higher on 1 side than the other.
You main concern will be salt water landing on the floor and possible rust of the metal staining your floor. But if you put towels down before cleaning filters, sand ect.... you will be fine.

Best I will get it. Never noticed how warped my floor was until now.
