Hey guys, I've been meaning to put together a build thread for a long time now. My tank has had some pretty ugly stages over the past year and I never wanted to share that. I upgraded to this tank from my 17 gallon that you might recognize from this thread https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/leyths-17-gallon.257126/

So, my office looked pretty sweet. Well, I made some changes that I probably shouldn't have made. I got a larger tank and moved my desk and now it doesn't feel as cozy. However, it's a work in progress and I think I can make some changes to make it nice again. Here is the current tank:

I love my new tank, but it's been quite a challenge. The 17 gallon was way easier for me. I have a lot of bubble algae and cyano issues. I've had some overflowing issues due to the red sea drain valve. I think bubble algae is getting stuck in it and clogging it.

Just like the tank, this post is also a work in progress...

Maxspect Gyre XF250
Ecotech MP40QD
Reef Octopus Varios 6
Tunze 3155 auto top off
Reef Octopus 150INT protein skimmer
36" ATI 8 bulb dimmable T5
36" Reefbrite XHO blue strip
Icecap battery backup for the gyre
2x Two little fishes phosban reactor (one of them running carbon, the other will be a chaeto reactor soon)

Parameters:
Alkalinity: 8.0
Calcium: 470
Magnesium: 1270
Salinity: 1.025
Temp: 78
Phosphate: usually 0 but I do have cyano
Nitrate: 25(I'm trying to get it lower)

Live stock:
1 Female Oscellaris clown
1 Male Wyoming white clown fish
1 Kole Tang
2 Green Blue Chromis
1 McCoskers Wrasse
1 Leopard Wrasse (I think it's still alive, it hasn't come out since I got it a couple weeks ago)
1 Pom Pom crab
1 Pistol Shrimp
1 Short spine Urchin

Are those all starfish on the tank? Can't quite make them out...
