-LF- Skimmer pump BB3000...or bigger....

I have a vertex IN180 skimmer mod w bb3000 pump and my pump has been having trouble starting.....open to suggestions.....Thanks!

I asked mojo on the skimmer q&a thread he said to try the tunze hydrofoamer 9420. I have also read people recommending a sicce psk 1000 on the 180. I have a bb 3000 on mine and was wanting to try a different pump.

Can't go wrong with the tunze. But you'll have to check if it will hookup.

If you look on avast marines website they have an adapter that screws on the output so it will fit in the side of there cone skimmers. I am not sure if it's the same size but that's what the stock pump on the in 180 has. I just wrapped the threads with teflon tap on my bb 3000 and it fits. Maybe you can do the same on one of the other pumps.
