So as the header says, my LFS drilled my tank wrong. *sigh* I wanted 1" returns through the glass but he drilled it with 3/4" instead. I've done some searches and have come up empty so far. I'm guessing this doesn't exist. But does anyone know of a 3/4" to 1" street slip reducer elbow? I'm trying to both cut down on space taken up by the fitting as well as cut down on the number of fittings in the return flow line.
My guess is the best low profile remedy is just a normal 3/4" street elbow and a reducer bushing but thought I would ask as a last resort before I head to the store and plumb this in. What would I lose in head pressure with this setup? Much at all?

Should I ask for my $50 in labor back you think or is that out of line? Store credit is fine as they are going to be my main supplier of livestock/coral but I dunno.... I'm kinda ticked....

Thanks!

That's too bad, especially if you were going to use a high flow return like a Cor. Is there some type of drill press rail mount that you could drill the 1" without a pilot hole?

I wasn't planning on a super high flow but wanted as unrestricted flow as I could get on the returns. I guess I'm just more upset than anything else as I left him clear instructions as well as gave him 1" bulkheads to use. So... what the heck?
As far as redrilling goes that's a pretty high bar to jump from everything that I've read. Pretty much asking for a broken tank without precise drilling equipment. I've read about Dremel's working but once again there is some pretty good risk as well as lots of labor I would imagine.

I understand. I would be upset too. And yes, the drill would have to be fixed in position without movement or the risk too great. Maybe they can get you a nice superman scoly for their mess up?
