You ever had lfs just strait b.s. to you in your face? I don't know why I even bother to stop by any more. Every time I come there they always have a new lie to tell.
Today was no different.
How can I politly tell them to stop lying?

I can't speak for your LFS, but mine has been awesome. If this is an issue with certain staff, your best recourse is with the manager/owner. But if this is prevalent throughout - you might be better off just taking your business elsewhere.

Stop going there and torturing yourself.

I’ve learned you can’t control how other people behave/act. Best to set your own boundaries.

Maybe don’t ask them for advice? ;)

Torture is correct word for my experience,
... I'll just write today's. B.s. story. Before wolking into the store I already knew not to ask him anything, came in, he had a nice Achilles tang in a tank, my guess he was about 7-8" I opened my mouth (my mistake) by complementing how beutifull that fish looks, and then I asked (i dont know why), if they maxed out at 9" The owner said "o no he got 2 more inches to grow, they maxed out at 14" and then he said he measured this achilles and it was at almost at 12" I'm thinking, b.s. this thing looks no bigger then 8"
Later I got on my phone, and start looking into if it's even possibly to see a 12" achilles and the biggest size I saw was 10" for one.
I mean why b.s. on stuff like this?
I know my sizes what I saw was 8" not 12" achilles

< Insert joke about the need to exaggerate size by +50% here >

You should've said "Oh gee, that's too bad, If he was only 8" I probably would've bought him. Far too big for my tank..."
Lol I have one in my tank already
Would of being a great comeback to his bs

Yes, all except 1. They are a corporation and treat customers as such, imo. The one I actually liked had it's issues but they were honest. They were a maintenance company first, family run but maybe mostly just the old man ran it. Only open sat/sun to the public. The absolute worst was the one with the fanciest setups and corals, straight up liars and bs artists that couldn't hardly answer questions

I dont know why It bothers me so much. I just can't let it go. oh well I guess I'll go to sleep and forget about it tomorrow,

This is what keeps you up at night????? 2 guys arguing about how many inches? That's not B.S., thats insecurity.

I think it is less lying and more people that just aren't as knowledgeable as perhaps they should be. Lots of industries struggling to find ANY help right now, let alone good help.
