LFS or Online livestock?

What are some of your favorite places online to buy livestock? I would prefer to buy at lfs but from what I can see I'm not sure if that's the best route. Sometimes Ill see some dead fish still in the tank. Some fish just on their side or not looking well. Is this normal? I would think if a fish is not looking well I would immediately seperate it. Idk I'm just trying to see the best options. Thanks in advance for any input.

I only buy fish on OfferUp and at the lfs so I won't be off much help, but it doesn't sound like you have a very good lfs.

Hmm...I've had about 50/50 success with LiveAquaria. As in half of the time the fish survive the 30 day quarantine, and half the time they don't.

I've heard good things about Marine Collectors, as well as Among The Reef, but haven't ordered from them (a touch too $$$)

Yea I don't get it. They used to be the best place around. They have great reviews but everytime I've been there recently I just feel like I wouldn't trust buying from there

Some of the “big boys” seem to have fallen off a bit, or their stock has became well overpriced. I now order from The Reefer Spot or try to pick up things throughout my travels.

I'll check out the reefer spot. There's a spot in PA called the hidden reef. Haven't been there but from what I've heard it may be worth taking the 1hr30 min drive
