Where are the Local Fish Stores and which are the best? Also are there any others in the Chattanooga area? I like to visit new stores. I travel around the Southeast with my job and have visited stores in Knoxville, Cookeville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Augusta and some other citites. Please let me know your thoughts about our local stores. Thanks

5'th day creation and Bermuda triangle are my go to stores, best coral selctions in town, and decent pricing. The best places though are building relationships with other hobbiests, great deals on hand me down equipment and a great source for quality livestock. Probably more than half my corals are handouts from other members here, lots of generous folks willing to give frags away and very fair pricing on high end pieces that either grow out too much or just dont fit the collections anymore. Hopefully I'll be healthy enough to attend a CRC meeting soon, cant have too many friends in this hobby!

I have been to both of them plus Fish Mania. All 3 stores have friendly helpful staff. Are there any other stores in our area? I was also told that 5th Day may be closing. I hope not I really like Donnie and Joy and would hate to see them close the doors. I would like to attend the next meeting. Do you know when it will be held? Thanks

We havent yet planned the next meeting, It will be in December if we have one and we normally do a Dinner meeting in december because of the busy holiday season. We just had our november meeting a week ago. Keep an eye on the forrums for the next meeting.
As far as stores, the one listed are really the best options for reef. there is a store in hixson that has some stuff " pet care wharehouse" but that is all i know of around here. I hope 5th day doesnt close its doors, and I dont see it happening soon anyway. this is normally the busy season for this hobby so they should be ok for alittle while. All that said though if we want to see them survive we need to be supporting them. I think people who do most of the shopping online will be disapointed when the local store is no longer there.
