LFS testing discrepancy

So I am battling my alk. And not trying to raise it to much to quick. I noticed a die off of my blue clove polyps and a few Monties a few weeks ago hence I thought I had an issue.
took my water to 2 different stores.. that use the same api spin disk Machine.

so I need to continue dosing 8.4?
or dose a bag of sodium bicarbonate?
nothing wrong with corals or fish and the dang blue cloves are sprouting happily..

First buy a good test kit so you can check it yourself.
Second the alk is pretty low and you’ve had dieoff.
Raise over the next week.

It’s hard to know hoe much for you to dose as we don’t have tank volume or your typical daily use of alk.

When was the last time it was tested?

You say a “bag of sodium bicarbonate” how big of a bag?

Your Ca is low so do you use kalkwasser as top off?

The salinity is high from LFS double check and see which number is right

Most any alk supplement, including baking soda (the main ingredient in 8.4) is fine for an occasional alk boost.

I have all hanna testers.. my reading are normal but a bit alk low.
I have 10+heads frog
2large heads golden hammer
2 head frammer

My hanna alk reads 131ppm
I dose with 8.4 three tblsp daily

What do you used for top off?

Id suggest kalkwasser it likely will cover your alk and Ca needs and can be slow dripped
