I really like it. The biggest thing I like about it is the lps don't get annoyed by the sand or substrate so they get full extension. I tried substrate before I upgraded to this tank and I didn't enjoy it but that's just my personal preference.

If you are going to remove your substrate, take your time and remove it slowly. Removing some of it with water changes is the way most reefers do it as it allows time for the tank and bacteria to adjust to the change

If you don't like it you can always add sand back to the tank

Looking great! I had missed a couple of those photo updates. I love acans, but they don't usually like me. LOL I can keep them alive just fine, but in my old tank, they usually lost a lot of their colors. I upgraded my lighting for this tank, so I'll be trying them again to see if they keep their colors this time around.

When you say they lost or change colours did they go orange and maybe some grey in them as well? Or a solid colour?

Well I've had to except a harsh reality, t5's just run to dang hot in my climate to be on my tank, even with a 8 inch buffer it's to much. The heat that radiates around the tank is crazy.

So I went back to drawing board and after seeing a local Aussie lps only tank I came to a decision.

So I will have a super update when I get home from holidays!

I love major updates!! How do you like your Deltec? I recently bought one and cannot go back to anything else. It is a nightstalker beast: so quiet you can't hear it, always gets what it wants and just keeps on going.

To say I love my deltec would be an understatement. I still can't believe how quiet it is- I kept checking it the first week to see if it was still running
