Life reef Skimmer users...alternative to Mag Drive?

Love my Life Reef slimmer but the Mag Drive 9 or whatever is on it keeps my little 20g display system a balmy 79f even with the balcony door open when it's cold out. I prefer to run at 75f.

Can anyone share if if they are using another feed pump and the particulars of it?

The two guys I know that have life reef skimmers run jabeo dcs 10000 pumps on theirs.

Run a Fluval SP4. It’s rated for 1822 gph at 88 watts. However, because of the head pressure of the elbows and venturi, it actually only runs at 50 watts. I actually prefer using AC pumps in this application as they provide more consistent, non fluctuating flow. The Fluval SP4 runs very quietly and uses an Askoll motor block, quality stuff.
