So about a year back, I did a little experiment and in this container I put some chaeto, a piece of reef rock, new saltwater, and basically left it for dead, with its only sorce of food/energy being a reef orbit light ficture, now almost a year later, (what I expected to have no life) has more than I can imagine. It's full of a lot chaeto, more algae, stuff I can't identify, tons of pods, and a lot of bristle worms. Most suprissing to me, the water does not smell dirty at all, considering I've never changed it, only adding some top off water every couple months. To me it's just amazing to see what can survive, even in a low oxygenated environment
