Lifegard Aquatics promax uv light

Has anyone reviewed or used the Lifegard aquatics new promax UV sterilizer? I’ve only seen a couple videos on YouTube and one 5 star review on Marinedepot website. I need a good sterilizer at least 40 watts and bulk reef supply is sold out of the Pentair and I don’t think Aqua UV is any better so I won’t spend the extra to get theirs that’s even longer lol. Just trying to check with any of you and see if anyone’s heard of or used this UV sterilizer.

Haven't used that particular one but had a lifeguard UV back in the 80's and loved it! That company has been around almost since the beginning of reef keeping

Yeah they sure have. It’s a great looking and working unit. I have had Pentair for awhile but when I went to get a new one they were all sold out everywhere. I saw this one and great reviews and it’s a way better looking unit! And I like how it come apart in three sections with a sleeve for cleaning, great design.

Being able to completely disassemble for cleaning is really nice, I'll have to check it out I need to invest in a better UV at some point.

You’ll like it, plus it’s like $350 cheaper than the comparable one like through Pentair or Aqua UV. Both great lights, but super spendy. I had an 80w Pentair, it’s was $800
