Are Lifegard Sch40 bulkheads slightly bigger than other brands? Looking on their website they are saying 2.5" (63.5mm) hole size for their 1.5" bulkhead. I know BRS is saying 2-3/8" (60mm) for their bulkheads.

BRS Makes mistakes, and this is could be an error on their website by recommending the 60mm bit for the 1.5" ABS bulkhead. That seems like a really tight tolerance. The gasket size is 86mm/3.38" - I would use the 65mm bit.

To answer your question:
Diameter of Lifegard SlipxThread 1.5" bulkhead is 2.323" or 59.0042mm
Diameter of BRS 1.5" SlipxThread 1.5" bulkhead is 2.32" or 58.92mm

I would say down to the thousandth of an inch, they are for our purposes the same size.

Thanks for the detailed response. I have used the 60mm drill bit in the past and it is a tight fit for sure.
