would that be to strong for a 75gal? And where should that be placed in a sump with refugium?

I don't know if too strong is too much. It doesn't go in the sump. Mine is plumbed before the water is filtered in the sump. You can ask the community if that model would be too much for your tank. Thanks for the interest.
