I just got a 90 watt lifeguard promax UV sterilizer. I did find information about the flow rate for killing algae, but I did not find information for controlling viruses, bacteria, and parasites. Anyone know the ideal flow to kill viruses, bacteria, and parasites? Thanks in advance!

I run a pro max 55 watt at 420 gph for parasites if that helps. I think for algea you need higher flow rates. Reach out to lifeguard they will help you out.

I did call them and they didn’t give me an answer. They said what was already on their site for killing algae only.

Based on your flow, if I run my flow at 500gph on a 90w, that should kill just about everything

Well as far as parasites yes. Algea needs higher flow rates i will try to find the info for algea that i found. I was more focused on parasites but it did make my water crystal clean even at 420 gph.

According to this thread at 55 watts 2100gph will take care of algea.https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/55w-lifegard-3-amalgam-high-output-standard-pro-max-uv-sterilizer.676403/
