Hello,
I recently installed two double overflow boxes from Jeff at LifeReef. I am getting a lot of gurgling noise coming from them, installing the silencers completely silents the noises but greatly reduces the flow. I am wondering if there is another way to silence the gurgling without using the silencers. Im using 1" vinyl tubing attached to the 1" hosebarb connectors draining into the sump well below the water line. Does draining above water line help? There is a lot of air bubbles entering the sump through the tubing.
Is there any other ideas for silencing overflow boxes? Thanks!
