So, after several years of "infused biofactor's" in these "dry but live rock", how well does it actually work for the price ?

Have any of you tested this biologically enhanced rock in a long term study ?

I'm setting up another reef, a 125g mixed, and so I'm interested and thinking,.... about this bio rock. Does it really work, how much is needed for any given size of aquarium ?
If you were to set up a 100g tank, how well or not, would it support a FOWLER or reef with fish ?

IMO the bio seeding is snake oil and personaly wouldn’t be paying a premium for it.. I do like the look of the rock however not sure it’s worth the price.

The product in the second link (Reel Reef) is not dry seeded rock it’s artificially made rock that’s seeded in raceways and holding tanks then shipped wet, I have a tank with it and like it a lot.. they do sell a unseeded dry version as well I believe.

Sounds cool! Can you describe the life that crawled out of the rock? Is it noticeable?

About,... how much space does the 20lb box cover ?

I'm wanting to get some branch rock to have on the left side of the aquarium, not only for appearance, but for smaller fish to hide and sleep, I'd like med to large branch's that go more vertical, then smaller branch's down at the bottom. I have quite a bit of coraline rock from my other tanks to go into my new in wall 125g reef.

So, I'm trying to decide on which way to go, laced, dead, white or the fake coraline branch rock.
Leaning towards the latter, but not sure yet ?

The rock has no visible life just bacterial.. I think I read the water in raceways is piped in from ocean but I would imagine filtered heavily..

Real reef also has branch rock as well as shelf rock.. here is about 12-15 lbs in a 14 gallon Biocube that I had set up a few year ago.. it may help give you a idea of volume.

This is 20lbs of life rock shapes in a 40 gallon cube. It's really light and you get a ton for the poundage. I love the stuff. Use it in all my tanks.
