I'm switching from my aqua illumination regular primes 2 of them which with every spectrum on full are only 50watts to 2 viparspectra 165w dimmable leds. The new lights will have 2 different channels white and blue and each channels intensity can be adjusted...what intensity should I set them at to begin with and how much of an increase should I do per day/week??? Any help is appreciated

Regardless of the wattage I would think moving to the Viparspectras are a downgrade. AI Prime lights are great and I wish I could afford them instead of my Chinese LEDs lol. But if your Primes are at 100% then I would start the Vipars at like 70% blue and 50% white, see how your corals react.

The only downgrade is that the viparspectras don't have ramping and spectrum options, that being said im switching lights to have more wattage for my sps and lps. The primes were most likely under 25watts all the time with the spectrums I used on it which is simply not enough wattage
