What acclimation procedure or schedule do you use when introducing new lighting? I recently added two 80W T5s to my three Kessils, and I started off with 10 minutes run time the first week. I added 10 minutes every week until I was up to about 90 minutes run time. I had shut the T5s off after my war coral and open brain started to bleach. At that time, I also took my Kessils down to 70% intensity (they had been running at 100%). Both corals started looking better, but other species that like more light started to show some signs that they needed more light.

Since then, the Kessils are back at 100% and the T5s run 10 minutes per day. I was expecting to add another 10 minutes run time by the end of January.

I'm curious to hear what folks do when introducing new lights, after bulb changeout, and how they acclimate new corals to and existing lighting regimen. Thanks as always!

When I added t5s to my radions I first added 2 blue + and started with 30 min/day and added 30 min every week until I reached 4 hours a day. I then added 2 coral plus and did the same with them but for some reason when I got over an hour run time per day with the coral + the coral weren't too happy. I'm not sure if it was the amount of par or the change in spectrum but I only run my coral + for 1 hour/ day now and that seems to work pretty good so far.
