Just wondering how you guys typically adjust your lighting when adding new corals. Right now I'm moving the blue spectrum lighting from 20% and raising it by 20% each week to max. Is that too much too soon? Too slow?

If you have an expensive android you can get a app on your phone that will give you par readings . I have birdsnest and they need at least 300 par so I use my phone to set my light at 350 par just above the water. Works for me.

What is the name of that app? I want to try it.

I am running the phlizon black boxes at 18 inches above my tank blues are 75% whites are 25% for 350 par

I was looking at those lights. I will go with either phlizon or Viparspectra when I upgrade the lighting.

I just installed ppfd. Tomorrow I'll get some PAR readings. Thank you for letting us know about ppfd.

All I know is as soon as I set my par with this app my birdsnest has grown alot and has colored up nicely. So I know it is close.
