Should this be ok it’s a small adjustment
I’m planning to over time have that 1:8:1 ratio for my lighting

Yes and tweak if needed

Wait am I special or am I looking at my old schedule and seeing lights are only on at max for a hour and a half

Yes lights are on short schedule from what I see. Adjustments to blue and violet if needed

Ok I’m thinking of making a adjustment don’t worry so far my corals haven’t gone through any changes yet but here is what I’m thinking

My old time was
11:00 - 3:00 4 hours of Ramp
3:00 - 4:30 1 hour 30 of max
4:30 - 7:00 2 hours and 30 mins of Ramp down ????????
Something doesn’t seem right if that is true, how did my corals survive

What I’m planning for my new would be maybe
10:30 - 11:30 Ramp
11:30 - 6:30 Max
6:30 - 7:30 Ramp down

If that is OK, what adjustment should I make to my blue and violet, and why

Yeah running from 1400 - 1700. . . so 3 hours at max.

I run my fluval lights 1:10:1, purple, blue, and cyan at or near max, red near 20, and white at like 65. . . working off memory here but should be close.

For the Fluval lights the consensus is crank the purple, blue, and cyan (spectrums most used by the corals). If memory serves these lights are disproportionally white, at least when compared to other lights and "ideal lighting". I tend to run my Fluval lights a little whiter than most, but only cause I am trying to get more PAR out of them.

Great little lights though!

How does my new timing look after I make slow adjustments over time

And just out of curiosity could I see how your corals look and what type you have

I think it's fine, though as I said earlier I would probably make bigger changes faster personally, but I guess nothing wrong with taking it slow as long as your current corals are happy.

What type of corals are you planning to keep?

Also, check out this thread:

You can look at the PAR readings for your light on Fluval's website (keep in mind the PAR readings posted are likely with all channels at 100% and in ideal conditions and directly under the light). Even Fluval's largest reef light is only putting out 63PAR at 18" (again this is probably with all channels maxed out) and by my estimation, based on your settings, you are probably getting far less than 63PAR at the sand bed (white LEDs make up about 40% of the light). The corals you have are pretty tolerant low light corals, but I imagine, based on PAR recommendations and the PAR of the light, that they would benefit from more light.
