I have AI Prime16HD light on my 20gallon reef tank. Once upon a time, can't recall the original settings (I think somewhere near 30% for UV,V,RY???), everything was doing well in my tank. Somehow I did not realize that a big change in my lighting would have made my anemone unhappy (read: newbie mistake). I changed because I originally planned to set my lights mirroring my LFS, and one day realized that is not at all what I was running... So I changed to the LFS settings - a large increase in % of UV, V, RY I recall. Well my anemone immediately became unhappy and split, and stayed miserable for at least a few weeks before it dawned on me and I decreased my lighting again (although not as low as originally I believe - but again don't have those numbers). My anemone is beginning to come back but still has very dark/black color (it used to be a lovely vibrant pinkish orange with long tentacles - it has been about two months since looking like that), it's split is unhappy by all measures - they are "ultra bubble tip". What do I do with the lighting? increase, decrease, stay the course? And how gradually do I need to go when I do make adjustments? How long before I know if I hit it right with the anemones? TYIA (pics are from June, when it was a single and doing well)
I am currently running a 9-5 with 1 hour ramp up/ramp down and the following: (I do not have a par meter)
UV: 78%
V: 81%
RY: 86%
B: 29%
G: 33%
DR: 15%
ML: 0%
CW: 24%
