This is where I am at.
Heavy SPS. Still a lot of frags but also some well established corals.
Currently have Reef Radiance IT2040 and for the price and what it does I cannot be happier. However like most I have some shadowing going on and looking for that extra pop.
Anyone running a ATI 24" 4 or 6x24w dimmable over IM38?
Opinions?
Thoughts I have been throwing around in head are.
1) go with a 2x24 retro kit and incorporate them with current setup. Would have to pass the Wife inspection so would need something to make it look nice also. My light hangs from the ceiling so would need to be a light weight design. Would I be crazy to even consider paying extra to get the ati dimmable ballast and could I control the dimming with my apex
2) go with a 4x24w unit and add reef brites
3) go with 6x24 unit which would cover the complete tank. This would mean no led supplement as they would stick out beyond tank edge
I am so lost when it comes to DYI so speak to me like I have no clue because I do not
