Last week I bought a new THOR omicmol light for $300 from the store for my refugium at the same time I upgraded my return pump to a syncra SDC 9.0 and not thinking about how its given my display extra head.
So I go to work and the power cuts out while I'm out and the sump overflows soaking the controller burning it out does anyone know if I can just bypass the controller and plug the light directly in to a USB C outlet?

I doubt it - assuming you're planning on plugging it directly to the wall. I would suggest buying a new controller - or contacting the company and seeing If they will take pity on you:). Good luck on the rest of your reef experience!!

More than likely you can just bypass the controller for 100% on (need a bit more info but all the control fictions should be in the stick)

Next, yes as mentioned contact Micmole and/or where you bought it from.
If bought on a credit card you can TRY getting a warranty through them though not sure accidental damage is covered.
Try chat when available.

Third it is possible to use a 3rd party controller but again, need more info.
Of course this may include cutting cables.

Fourth, see if you can use this...
