Hello all,
Need recommendations as what to do with my LED lights. The canopy came with the setup and it matches and i like it, but i cannot seem to get the lights positioned high enough in the canopy where they should be. Based on the pics would you recommend i cut out 3 holes in the canopy for each light and bracket them in that way. Only issue with that is i would have to remove the lights just to open the canopy! Suggestions?

Thanks

I had a canopy that looked just like yours. I removed the top piece completely. And then made supports that attached to the canopy frame to hold the lights up above the water to the height I desired. Used electrical tubing. Lots of connectors and the tubing was cheap.

Here's what i ended up doing. It turned out ok 20200531_232347.jpg

I would add a box to the bottom of the canopy to raise it up. It would give you some height adjustability for the lights.

Thanks but what do you mean by box on bottom? what would that look like?

A box the same outside dimensions as the canopy. Box on a box. Attached to the bottom of the canopy. This would allow you to use the lid on the canopy you have, but raise it up to give you more room for the lights.

When I built my canopy, I took in account the distance I would need with those black boxes. I need around 13" of adjustability height wise and keep my lights at 12" above the water line.

ahhh i see now! I saw this canopy before in another post. Very nice!!!

Right now im at 10 inches from water and i thought that would be enough. I will try to figure out how to make it taller if you think 10" isnt enough.

10" may be enough.
