I currently have a par30 bulb from BoostLED on my 8 gallon Nuvo, and run the light for 8 hours a day (1pm-9pm).
Corals consist of mostly LPS, zoas, rics, and a small SPS. Corals seem to be doing well, but could they be doing better with a longer duration or shorter duration?

I have a BC29 and run my white Evolution (100W) LED's for 7hrs a day and my blues 2hrs before and 2hrs after. I mostly have Z&P's but I have a 6" diameter Montipora that has been doing really well so far. Also have acans on the sand bed with no problems. I keep my lights about 12" from the top of the water line and my tank is about 13-17" deep to the sand bed. I havent been in this hobby for too long but I have learned that no matter what you do, do it GRADUALLY.

That sounds like plenty of light to me. Right now I'm running my lights 8 hours white/blues.
