Light for 10 gal frag tank

Im looking for recommendations for a light for my 10 gal frag tank. its only 12 inches deep I would bet that most of the frags will be 6-8 inches under water. I would prefer LEDs.

Anyone used any budget LEDs on a tank this small and had good results? I would prefer something cheaper then the Kessil A80.

Prime hd would be great, but not sure where it stand against a kessil on the price point. Any Chinese black box that dims would work too.

I have a 10 gallon frag tank with the Aquamaxx LED reef light and it has worked out well. Totally programmable. Several softies and LPS have done great. Have had one SPS in there for 3weeks and thus far it seems to be thriving. I think the light was around $100 from Marine Depot. Has several good reviews on YouTube.

I know those lights work on Picos and will grow sps in picos.

As for your tank you plan to use for a frag tank, is it just a standard 10g tank? If so I have a SB Reef 16" basic light over one with a ton of SPS in it right now that are going through quarantine. All frags have encrusted, growth has been great, and the light should last forever with the settings it is at lol. It sits 2" off the surface and is only running at 20% blues and 5% whites lol. Par 3 inches under the water is about 250 or so last I checked.

In the world of lights, there are a ton of options. I have an A80 that used to be over this tank, and it was just not enough for SPS during the 76 QT period. zoas and such, it worked great. The API bulb, I have used, but on a zoa tank I keep at the office. It worked great for them, I just got tired of seeing the arm and the bulb, so I made a DIY led light that is more flush with the tank profile.

cool stuff, i will likely give the sbreef lights a try, im thinking maybe ill get one reef one and one actinic??? run the actinic in the morning and evening and then midday only the reef one will run. thought?
