What's shakin all!! I have new setup I'm starting and I'm having trouble deciding on what my light configuration might be. I am up in the air to do solely 48" 8 bulb T5 setup to get coverage on a 47 x 36" tank . But I love the Shimmer of metal halide as well I am thinking about doing an aquatic life T5 hybrid fixture and somehow retrofitting halide fixture in between the T5s . If I chose the Halide option I would probably do two 36-inch fixtures(aligned front to back) with one halide fixture within the span of those hybrid fixtures so in total 8 T5 bulbs and 2 halides . Maybe one 48-inch fixture with 2 halide fixtures (aligned left to right) on it that would equal 4 T5 bulbs and to halide fixtures retrofitted(would it cover?). So basically I am wondering everyones thoughts of the best coverage for a 48 by 36 Aquarium to make sure I'm covered on all corners. let me know your thoughts reefers.
Tank is 20"tall
P.S. dont hate on me I just don't like the way LED fixtures display the aquarium. Just my preference
