can anyone suggest a good $150ish dollar light for a nano reef (10 gallon) i am wanting mushrooms and pulsing xenia and a single torch coral. added question do any of those corals need a wave maker if i run a hangon back filter that causes a decent amount of water flow?

matters the size of the hob filter but I will also say running a reef tank that small is hard but doable, just got to keep on top of changing filter mesh every 3 days or so and dosing.
Ai prime is a good choice if you can find it at your price point, Smatfarms led or Noopsyche could work. I have heard good things about the reefbreeders nano as well

AI Prime 16HD.
Yeah AI prime on sale would be best.

I meant to say a used AI prime. Sometimes they are in the marketplace used.

AI Prime HD is BRS’s deal of the day today. Other lights would be Kessil A80, Reef Breeders, Nicrew, Noopsyche, and Lominie, many of which you can find on Amazon.

Watch this if you haven’t seen before:

Grab a nicrew if you value your wallet. It makes zero sense paying over $300 for an AI Prime setup just for a 10g with softies when a Nicrew will do the same job for $60

I have a Noopsyche K7 V3 light on my 10 gallon mixed reef tank. It's definitely a little overkill especially for what you listed as your target corals though but you can adjust each light spectrum and they're not too expensive so if you're possibly looking to get into SPS down the road I'd consider one of these.
