I am thinking of starting a small pico tank as a ‘backup’ to my Nano and also as something else to play with.

The idea would be to take anything that gets too big for my Nano to practice fragging and to potentially get some pieces together that I might be able to trade.

This tank will be tiny (16W x 12L x 8H) and would be used for softies and hopefully 1 or 2 lps if it allows.

What would you recommend for lighting? I’m thinking maybe the Kessil A80 Tuna Blue but by the time you add the controller it costs more than the AI Prime. I assuming the Prime would be way too powerful for this little tank.

Of these 2, which would you go for? And are there any other (cheaper) options worth considering?

It’s very much personal preference and also depends on budget etc but most will do the job
