Light for refugium / need help thanks

I have a stock LED that came with a cheaper SW tank setup (no name model) that has blue and whites. Would that work for a refugium in a sump or should that light have a specific spectrum?

its probably fine for a Fuge, generally macros grow best under the white light ~6500k

do you know the Kelvin rating on the whites?

Blues and whites will usually give you minimum algae growth, you will be better off with a simple clip on light from home depot. like squirrel said.

agreed, blues will not do much of anything, its the sunlight (6500) they crave

you should be able to put together a light solution for under 20 bucks at most any store that sells bulbs
