light green film like algae?

Hi R2R,

Trying to figure out what form of algae this might be, is it GHA? its light green color all over my sand bed.

PO4 - 0.06
NO4 - 7.4 PPM

Ive been siphoning these out but keeps coming back, is this my tank going through its ugly phase? tanks about 8 months running.

Its a type of cyano which loves light (photosynthetic). You 'll notice shaded areas dont have it.
Simply reduce light and siphon as needed. Add 1.5ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons during the day to compete with this bacteria (cyano) such as MicroBacter 7 or Microbacter XLM
