Light in the sump

I am starting to get algae growing on my skimmer due to the light that is over my chaeto. Has anyone ever had to make some kind of a wall to keep the light just over the chaeto and not the rest of the sump? I need some ideas on blocking the light.

you can move it a bit and point it in the other direction(camera right, and clip a piece of plastic sheet or paper to the left edge of the lamp
