Light keeps turning on!

Okay so I will keep an eye on it but at least now I know what to look out for/what caused it.
True.. that is Always the most frustrating part. "WHYyyy God Whhyy!?"
Lol.. "please..just some sort of hint or clue"

I honestly can't fathom why anybody puts up with these devices. Between the inability to keep time, the disaster that mobius is and the overall component quality, I would have jumped ship ages ago. I also can't fathom having a device that is tied to, dependent on and controlled by a web service... crazy.
I mean the majority of us have never suffered any of these issues would be the easy answer.
I have not been home over a weekend for the past 12 weeks as i head out to the lake for our short but sweet Canadian summers.
I've run an Apex for 10 years now and it tells me if water is leaking, my heater's thermostats are lock in an "on" position. Allows me to feed my fish and tells me if the power got knocked out.
Seems pretty easy to "put up" with a device that allows me to manage my tank remotely and live a life outside of reefing.

I think I found the issue the app’s time was set incorrectly somehow lol! I hope this solves the problem lol!

Is that mobius or my Ai?

EDIT : I pulled mobius up and it looks like your using it. The date time changing is a feature that has been present since or shortly after launch. It's not a feature I'm fond of so my radions are boxed up and sitting on the shelf. Too many 3:00 am light blasting episodes for me.

Ai and I guess it’s a known bug.

I can't quantify "majority" but a quick search shows a larger number of complaints about the time issue, as well as other mobius problems. The issues are not anomalies.

Nothing is actually solved…. It is my understanding that this is a long standing bug that they have not been able to fix, so will happen again.
Time Travel has been conquered by Apex?

I would love to go back to 1970 just to kill Disco.

My AI prime and radions do random crap sometimes.

I have a Kessil I put on a $5 Walmart timer and that one works the best lol

Everytime my Hydra lights lose power the time and date in the app goes wack and I have to go back in and fix it. Supper annoying.

possibly... but just as you said yourself its tough to quantify users that aren't suffering any of these issues either.
I can acknowledge an aquarium controller may not be for everyone but having it as an option is a great thing and while it may not be your thing it seems like an odd battle to fight considering their popularity in the hobby.

Great point. While I am there, I will get some more paper rolls for my dot matrix printer.

Heck, I might go to a LFS and get a few yellow tangs for $19.99 each.

Meh..

At home we had a Star Micronics "Gemeni 10x" tractor feed that we feed boxes of fanfold into.... from the commodore 64. No vic printer for us....

But when I was at college we had a wide format green bar printer that did 100LPM (printed) and could skip blank lines at over 100 per second. We then got some big HP data center lasers. Printing was free. I would go to the data center window to pickup my jobs... They would look in the "wall bings" and I would be like "nah it wont fit there, it is in the back" and they would go find them and wheel them out on a cart :grimacing-face:

I think not long after a printing quota went into place. The Apex would let me go back and plant trees to cover my printing.

Why said I was against controllers? I have one.... just not an Apex. You couldn't give me one.

As for the topic at hand, it is a well known bug that has yet to be fixed.
