Light on after been off for a month

Hi guys just wondering if turning my light on after it been off for a month upset my fish, it starting to get dark earlier so need the light now

I use to have it on all day but I kept getting massive algae problems, so now I use day light to keep it light, but it's starting to get dark sooner now. Basically my fishes day light starts 08:00 till 20:00

You could always put a piece of something over a portion of the tank like a towel so they have a dark area if it's too bright for them. If the ambient light in the room is decent then they shouldn't be too spooked. A ramp effect will help also

They have a cave like rock which has dark areas

You're probably fine. You might not see them for a bit and they may be skittish, but you should be OK. Does the tank have a cover? Keep eye out for jumping

Yeah my tank is fully cycled

Yeah it has a lid, they are juts swimming more actively since I put light on

perhaps increase your CUC? adopt new nutrient export or increase your current nutrient export?
