I have the Mars Aqua which I think are pretty much the same, although for the price I'd probably go with these. I am very happy with mine, with a minor detail. My tank is 30" and the corners are not very well lit. I probably have to remove a few lenses and spread the light a little more because it definitely has the power. It will penetrate easy the 18" but my advice is go with 2 300 watt ones or 3 162 (which I would suggest better). Other than that, mine is growing SPS with no problems at all.

3 or 4 minimum. A strip format light would fit that long skinny tank better.

I have the Marsaqua as well, but the 30", 300 watt unit. It''s about the same price as the one you linked. It is not wifi controllable, but I modified it to run off my apex for the cost of a 6 foot ethernet cable. 27,000 lux at the tank surface at 30% blue and 25% white.

thanks for all the input guys! I did go with two of the lights I mentioned with the intentions of buying another as suggested when I have enough corals to support a need for it as I'll be adding slowly. Tank should be up and cycling this Sunday guess I should do one of those build threads.

Wanted to update. I went with two of the lights I asked about and left framing for the addition of another in the middle. Though I may stick with two and leave the small low light section in the middle for some lower light corals. Made the top and sealed it before painting and it's gonna stay open like it is with some colored plexi covering the back and sides
