I've had my Chinese black boxes on my reef for the last year and a half and I get good growth but some corals just dont seem to like it. I want to either upgrade my LEDs with a higher quality light or switch completely over to t5 lighting. Any ideas? I like t5 because of their smoother look and I feel like it's more gentle on light sensitive corals but tbh I have very little experience with them so I have no clue. I also like the idea that I can put bulbs of different spectrum that I like.

Leds with wide optics and multiple colors can be just as good. T5 is good for covering shadowing. Also covering the kelvin temp spectrum.
Mh will give you shimmer that led gives...
Ive never done mh myself.

Metal halides are a bit much for me. How many t5 bulbs would u say I'd need for a 32 bio cube. Its sps dominate

Would 4 bulbs keep my sps going I've read they need like 8 but again I have no idea when it comes to t5
