Light recomendations for new tank.

What kind of corals are you wanting to keep? Those 20 longs can be tough to light. If you are going softie and LPS only the Orbit Marine Pros might be an option.

I'm currently running Kessil's and OR2 bars on my 90g and really like the combo.

Where did you get the OR2s? Looks like BRS doesn't sell them anymore.

Softies/LPS only. I'll take a look at those, thank you.

This is def a possibility. Does it have a sunrise/set feature on it?
It does but i would download custom setting from someone that has a good schedule. The reason i like these lights is because you don't need an extra controller to manually control the lights. You can do it from your phone all you need is the ai app and wifi to set up the lights and change any settings

Nice, that is good to know. Thank you.

The 24" bar was $120ea, but I'm not sure if they went up in price or not?

That's a good price, IMO. Aware of anyone running just the bars without anything else? Would be interesting to see the results. Gonna search around and see if I can find any.

I think someone mentioned this one before, anyone else have opinions on them?

If you like Kessil, what about two A80s? My BioCube is 14” deep and the light is 6” over the water and it’s perfect. Two side by side might work perfectly. Just an idea!

I run an ai prime hd on a 24 gal jbj nano cube. Its a great light plenty of light for the tank. You can design your own light schedule or you can find lots of people who share their schedules. Ive noticed huge acceleration of growth with this light. My only other light to compare to are the stock light and current usa led i ran for several years.

Really considering this bundle.

Hard to beat price and with my tank only being 12" deep, I'd think the PAR ratings for this light would be more than sufficient. Has all the features I want as well.

I have that light, and it’s great for shallow tanks and low light corals. Unless they are at the very top, it won’t support high light corals or clams. As long as you know that going in, I don’t think you will be disappointed with it.

Ended up going with this bundle.

Has everything I want plus a powerhead. Lights are shorter than the tank, but should be an easy mod to make them work. The Pros have a much better PAR rating than the others, which is why I went with them.

Thanks for all the recomendations everyone, I'll keep my build thread updated with progress for anyone interested.

Did you get the 18”-24”? If so, you won’t be able to mount them on a 30” tank without some modification or without the optional bracket mount. The light is only 18” and the built in mounts will expand up to 24”. I had an older version of that light on a 9.1g tank that was 24” wide and the mounts were extended as far out as they go. I did end up hanging it which could be an option for you. But honestly, if you can return those I’d consider going a size up with 24”- 36”. You will have pretty low par on the edges of the tank. If you are ok keeping most of your corals towards the middle and directly under the lights then you should be ok. Those are definitely good lights though for LPS and soft corals.

If you can show me the Hydra for $260 I'll likely go buy it now, cause I can't find anything near that price.
There price went up since December, was $260. Still cheaper than most other quality lights. I almost bought 2 in December but decided tompay a little more and got the 32s.
